The NEW MonCash App (TchoTcho) brings a personalized QR code that embeds the user’s phone number allowing for faster transactions. Users will be able to make payments by scanning other users’ QR or receive payments by offering theirs. The new QR code functionality can be found under the “My QR code” tab in the MonCash application. "The launch of the MonCash App is in line with our objective to become a digital lifestyle partner to our customers; no matter where they are located, MonCash will continue to close the gap between them and their family or friends. MonCash started as an USSD service, but times have changed and we are delighted to present this new App that will provide an upgraded experience to our consumers,” said Nathaelle Chavenet, Head of MonCash. Although MonCash will be available as an App, this does not mean the current way of using it is obsolete; MonCash will remain available for feature phones. “We are expanding our offering with the new app to provide more possibilities on how to use the service so we can attend to all our customer's needs. We are also launching a free peer-to-peer promotion for all our customers for a limited time to celebrate this important milestone,” mentioned Chavenet. Every MonCash account is linked to the users' phone number and the PIN created by them when registering. Transactions are done from a MonCash account to another MonCash account regardless of the device the account holders have, making it easier and possible for a transaction to occur between app users and feature phone users.
