iciHaiti - Health : Haiti now has the means to detect the new Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Wednesday, February 12, as part of the preparation of its response plan to a possible introduction of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Haiti, the Ministry of Public Health through the National Laboratory of Public Health (LNSP) received from Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), materials and inputs to enable him to confirm the diagnosis of COVID-19.
A mission of the PAHO health emergency team from Washington, DC provided the LNSP with reagents for molecular tests for COVID-19 including primers, probes and positive controls and facilitated the training of ten medical technicians from the laboratory on the conduct of screening and confirmation tests for COVID-19.
