iciHaiti - Security : 27 accidents, at least 65 victims
Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accidents (STOP-Accidents) organization, informs us that from January 27 to February 3, 2020, 27 road accidents on the https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29878-icihaiti-security-32-accidents-65-victims-including-5-schoolchildren.html ) made at least 65 victims (-6%) : 3 dead (-79%) and 62 injured (+ 17.6%) including several seriously.

Delmas 31, Paroi (Limonade), Jean Rabel, Fonds-des-Blancs, Pétion-ville, Petit-Goâve, Gressier, Saint-Marc and Bassin bleu, among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Remember that this weekly assessment was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of STOP-Accident means, it is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die from their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, draws attention to the Pèlerin area (commune of Pétion-ville) where several accidents have been recorded in recent weeks and reiterates its call for caution on our roads while continuing to ask the authorities concerned to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on public roads.
