iciHaiti - DR : 9,768 Haitians deported or turned back in November 13/12/2019 10:00:43
During these operations 7,479 Haitians (+ 10% compared to the previous month) controlled in irregular migratory situation or without paper, were deported to Haiti while 2,289 Haitians (+ 22% compared to the previous month) who tried to enter illegally on Dominican territory were turned back to the Dominican border. In addition, several other foreigners from Albania, Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador who were illegally residing in the Dominican Republic were expelled from the country. Note that this is the second consecutive month that the number of compatriots deported to Haiti is increasing (+ 10% in November, + 12.9% in October).
