On Tuesday, Mrs. Ermantide Lucia Joseph (84 years old), mother of the First Lady of the Republic Martine Moïse died as a result of a malaise. Admitted to a hospital in Port-de-Paix that was unable to provide the necessary care, she was transferred urgently to the Private Hospital Bernard Mevs in Port-au-Prince where she made her last sigh.

In a tweet published in Creole, the wife of the President wrote "Moso manman se yon moso ki chè. Ou banm lavi e pandan 45 lane ou kenbe menm poum rive kotem ye jodia. Ou montrem mache e ou edem leve lèm tonbe. Ou fèm yon fanm djanm tankouw. Jodia wale, mwen vlew konnen wap toujou gen premye plas nan kè nou tout. Que ton âme repose en Paix."

Frantz Liautaud, the Ambassador of Haiti to Canada, and the members of the mission, learned with sadness of the death of Mrs. Ermantide Joseph "Frantz Liautaud and the members of the mission, send their sincere condolences to all his family and to his close friends.é
