iciHaiti - Security : 24 accident 46 victims

Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian Organization Technical and Operational Services to Stop Accident (STOP-Accidents), informs us that from 11 to 17 November 2019, 24 road accidents of which 3/4 occurred on the National Road #2 have made at least 46 victims : : 12 dead and 34 wounded, several seriously.

Pèlerin 2, Petite-Rivière de Nippes, Delmas 33, Fort St. Michel, Balan, Morne Casse (Fort-Liberté), Chalon, Pestel, Dedunes, among others, are the main communes and areas where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was made in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to a lack of resources, the STOP-Accident organization is unable to monitor the state of health of the wounded, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP Accidents reiterates its call for caution on our roads and continues to ask the authorities concerned to take measures to reduce the risk of accidents on public roads.
