This sudden flood following an intense but short rain once again demonstrates the fragility of the commune and highlights the increasing deterioration of the environment. The victims were taken to a shelter located at the Lycée Faustin Soulouque, without any other assistance or food... Victims of repeated floods, the residents of the affected neighborhoods once again demanded local and central concerned authorities, the drainage of rivers and the implementation of remediation works. Moreover, the residents of "Nan Bannan" under the water, wish that the Town Hall of Petit-Goâve find a new safer ground where they can build their new home...
