Yesterday Tuesday, the Dominican authorities militarized the various fuel expansion stations in the region with staff of the specialized body for fuel control (Ceccom), the body specializing in land border security (Cesfront), and the Dominican Republic Army (ERD), to prevent Haitians from buying fuel in jerrycans and large quantities.
Colonel José Manuel Durán Infante, Director of Cesfront, announced that, on the orders of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Rubén Paulino Sem, the strengthening of the entire border area of this country was maintained to ensure the security of the Dominican territory.
