The disability community in Haiti is proudly represented at the 14th edition of CARIFESTA, held in Trinidad and Tobago (August 16th to 25th) by Shella Privert who exhibits handicrafts (bags, jewelry and other items in hooks) and the painter Eder Roméus https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28522-haiti-news-zapping.html
The participation of artists with disabilities in CARIFESTA is an initiative of the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) with the support of the Ministry of Culture aimed at highlighting the capacities of people in situation disabilities and their inclusion at all political, social, economic and cultural levels in our society.
