On August 14 at the Canne-à-Sucre Historical Park in the presence of many voodoo priests, representatives of various "sosyete", senior government officials, local elected officials and many personalities, was held the ceremony of enthronement of Hougan Carl-Henry Desmornes, elected in May 2019 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-27819-icihaiti-voodoo-carl-henry-desmornes-new-national-supreme-leader.html as new national Ati of Voodoo. The ceremony was marked by speeches of several personalities of the voodoo sector and the political world.

The Mambo Euvronie Georges Auguste, of the "Konfederasyon Nasyonal Vodouyizan Ayisyen" in charge of the ceremony launched a call to the gathering of all the forces of the Nation to save Haiti. She invited the national Ati (Supreme Leader of Voodoo) to wisdom, self-denial and humility to transcend quarrels and bring peace and harmony back into the voodoo family.

Carl-Henry Desmornes recalled that his coronation was organized on August 14, 2019 because this date commemorates the 228th anniversary of "The Ceremony of Bois-Cayman" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28493-haiti-social-228th-anniversary-of-the-ceremonie-du-bois-caiman.html "[...] is a symbol for the Haitian people for me too. I opted for this day because of its mystical and historical significance.
