iciHaiti - Santiago : The Consulate of Haiti visits the National Council for Childhood

Mrs. Judith Exavier, the Head of the Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago, Dominican Republic, accompanied by the Vice Consul Reginald Carrenard Head of the Department of Migrant Services and other staff of the Consulate, paid a visit on July 11 to the "Consejo Nacional para la Ninez y la Adolescencia "(CONANI) where Haitian children abandoned by their mother or minor children victims of human trafficking or exploitation are found... Note that the CONANI is in charge of looking for a member of their family to give them the child...
During this visit, Exavier spoke with the 33 Haitian children who were in this center to know their history, their living conditions in this institution and provide them with moral and psychological support.
She completed her visit by offering hygiene kits, snacks and especially reassuring them that the Consulate will continue to support them.
