iciHaiti - Justice : The OPC consults Civil Society for its Five-Year Plan

On June 27, the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) organized a consultation workshop with members of its regional offices and representatives of the Civil Society for the preparation of its Strategic Plan 2019-2024.

In total, more than 50 people participated in this workshop organized in partnership with the Minujusth Human Rights Department and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), as part of the joint rule of law program.

This consultation allowed Civil Society partners to participate inclusively in the development of the plan that will guide the work of the OPC for the next five years. Participants shared their expectations for priority actions in a session that focused on the areas of promotion and protection of human rights, which are part of the mandate of the OPC as a national institution of human rights.

UN technical and financial support for this workshop is part of strengthening national institutions and civil society organizations working in the field of human rights in Haiti.
