iciHaiti - Justice : OPC in training in Italy on the right of migrants
Samuel François, South East Departmental Director of the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) who represented Renan Hedouville, the Protector of Citizens, alongside representatives of 25 other countries (Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, France, Greece, Guinea, Italy, Cameroon Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Monaco, Niger, Uganda, Senegal, Switzerland, Vatican) participated in Sanremo (North-West of Italy), at the "3rd Course on the Protection of the Rights of Migrant People : International Standards Faced the Contemporary Challenges".

This course, organized by the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIDH) and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), aimed on the one hand to strengthen the theoretical knowledge of the different State authorities and the Civil Society, on the rights Humans and international standards on the protection of migrants for the implementation of the protection of these rights and on the other hand to promote the development of partnerships between governments, institutions of the rule of law and civil society.

Issues included : the application of ratified international Conventions, the most important principles of customary law, the development of good practices and cooperation between State actors involved bilaterally or multilaterally in the protection of migrants rights.
