iciHaiti - PNH : Non-Communicable Disease Screening Campaign
Last week, the Departmental Department of the West launched a non-communicable disease screening campaign for the benefit of the police and administrative staff of the Department of the West.

The team of the Ministry of Public Health was present to sensitize the police officers on noncommunicable diseases. The team took the opportunity to conduct diabetes screening and blood pressure monitoring sessions.

This activity, carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, will take place across all the police offcies of the Department. A schedule has been established for this purpose, in this context, the team of the Ministry will go after the Commissariat of Delams, to the Commissariat of Pétion-ville, May 17 next.

It should be recalled that noncommunicable diseases account for 71% of all deaths worldwide. In Haiti, the people most affected by these diseases are between 25 and 65 years old. Faced with this situation, for more than one year, the Ministry has undertaken a series of activities to promote healthy behaviors at the population level and in public institutions in particular, with a view to controlling the impact of these diseases.
