Tuesday, April 23 in the morning at the Quiskeya National Park to Fonds Parisien, will be held a commemorative ceremony of the International Day of the Earth, on the initiative of the Ministry of the Environment and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The objective is to underline the commitment of the American and Haitian governments for the improvement of the environment and the conservation of the natural resources.

The Ministry will present its key initiatives and USAID will present its key achievements in reforestation, water conservation, the 3-bay protected area and support for private sector initiatives.

This ceremony will take place in particular in the presence of several officials of the Haitian and American governments; technical and financial partners; representatives of NGOs working in the field of agriculture and the environment and local organizations; community leaders and school children.

In addition to the official ceremony, there is also a guided tour of the park and the ecological complex.
