iciHaiti - Tourism : Minister Marie-Christine Stephenson wants to be reassuring

Tourism Minister Marie-Christine Stephenson met with members of the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH) and the Regional Council of the Côte des Arcadins (CRCA) to create a synergy between the public and private sectors.

Despite Haiti's isolation on the global tourist map of the 10-day demonstrations and riots in February, Minister Stephenson tried to motivate participants at this meeting so that everyone could contribute to the revitalization of the tourism sector, which was still very weak after February events that affected the entire country in general, and in particular the tourism sector.

She wanted to be reassuring about future projects and ongoing projects, saying they will attract both tourists from around the world and new foreign investors in the tourism sector to develop this sector of growth. Haitian economy.

The Minister strongly encouraged the initiatives marking by their originality as the "Spring Break" a product intended for the Haitian Diaspora inviting them to enter their country during a break of work organized by "Dream Promo" in collaboration with the Royal Decameron in Haiti.

She also emphasized local tourism through upcoming cultural events such as: Destination Aquin Festival April 18-20 and Pestel Sea Festival April 18-21. For the Fête de la Mer (Sea festival) the different actors of the tourism sector of the Côte des Arcadins and the city of Pestel will work in collaboration to propose different packages (accommodation-transport) to create a link between these 2 poles and ensure success of this event.
