iciHaiti - DR : 981 Haitians in irregular migration situation deported

The Directorate General of Migration (DGM) reports that it has conducted new migration control operations in 7 provinces : Azua, Espaillat, La Altagracia, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Montecristi, Santiago de los Caballeros, Valverde, as well as in other sectors of the National District and Santo Domingo East and West, during which 1,263 Haitians were controlled.
After the verification process using biometric readers and consultation of the central database, 981 Haitians (77.6%) were declared in irregular migration situation and led to the border posts of Dajabón and Elías Piña to be registered before to be deported to Haiti
DGM informs that it will continue to carry out migration control operations in all provinces of the country.
