iciHaiti - Cap-Haïtian Carnival : Lower popular participation, but revelers satisfied
Despite a lower popular participation than the previous year, notably due to the absence of the Tropicana Music Group and the Septentrional Orchestra and the socio-political climate, Patrick Almonor, the Chairman of the Carnaval Cap-Haïtien Organizing Committee and Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the North (CCIN), said he is satisfied with this edition and the participation of the population Capoise

"With a budget of 1.5 million gourdes, the committee could not do any feats, but it was able to satisfy the carnival participants," said Almonor, adding that in total, 30 groups: musical bands, walking bands, disguised masquerades participated in the carnival parade.

For its part, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) congratulated the Capois population for its discipline and restraint during these 3 fat days, during which 11 people were injured, 7 people arrested and 9 reported accidents

For the opponents to the holding of this Carnival, besides the lack of preparation and the socio-political situation, the city was not ready to receive such an event due to the permanent insalubrity of the city.
