iciHaiti - Taiwan : Signature of donation of 6,500 tons of rice

At the beginning of the week the NGO "Food For the Poor", represented by its Executive Director, Monsignor Ogé Beauvoir, signed with the Government of Taiwan (Republic of China), represented by his ambassador, his Guillaume Cheng-hao Hu, in presence Mrs. Elise Gelin, Minister of Social Affairs an agreement to donate 6,500 tons of rice, of which 500 tons will be stored on the premises of the NGO for the Haitian State to help the Haitian population through the various programs of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Thanks to this partnership with Taiwan, which dates back to 2007, "Food For the Poor" has helped thousands of families, especially during the tumultuous period this February.

Note that partner organizations have the obligation to distribute this rice for free.
