The car of Jude Édouard Pierre, Mayor of the commune of Carrefour and also president of the National Federation of Mayors of Haiti (FENAMH) was targeted by armed individuals in the evening of January 23 near the Commissariat of Carrefour (OMEGA) the vehicle has the presence of at least one bullet impact.

The Mayor of Carrefour appeals to the authorities concerned to ensure the safety of citizens and to open an investigation into this attack, he also reminds that the documentation center of the town hall was burned and individuals removed signs of some projects underway in the commune, stating that there are individuals jealous of his achievements at the level of the commune, without mentioning names.

The Mayor is safe and was not physically touched during the attack.
