iciHaiti - Politic : Development of Youth in Public Spaces
Friday, Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports, accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry met at the Annex of Frères, several mayors of the metropolitan area for a social partnership and sports for the development of youth in public spaces while helping them stay healthy.

The Minister intends to make available to young people and sports enthusiasts, of animators in public spaces for daily aerobics sessions and socio-cultural activities to combat juvenile delinquency highlighting "The participatory and inclusive approach of Mayors facilitates the joint effort to develop grassroots sport and can motivate young people to engage in healthy activities for their full development" adding "We will create spaces for play, sport and a reconciliation policy. We need to send another image to the youth to push young people to participate in the development of the country," said Mr. Charles.

Finally, the Minister, while emphasizing that local authorities are a significant contribution to the development of the country recalled that this project "aims to encourage young people in communes to invest in sports through disciplines such as football, handball, basketball and athletics" and he invited the Mayors to take an active part in the launch of school sports games on January 18 at Parc Ste Thérèse in Pétion-ville.
