iciHaiti - Social : «NO» to the descent to hell 17/12/2018 07:29:00
The JURIMEDIA Association, a Haitian organization promoting human rights, is very concerned about the escalation of violence in the country, which threatens the right to life, the dignity of the Haitian people and the democratic regime under construction.
It also condemns, with the greatest rigor, the proliferation of illegal weapons in the country [more than 250,000 illegal weapons in circulation in Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12991-haiti-security-more-than-250-000-illegal-weapons-in-circulation-in-the-country.html ] and the emergence of many armed gangs.
The Association deplores repeated outbreaks of popular and political violence as a result of weak state security institutions and the scandal of extreme poverty and socio-economic inequality.
JURIMEDIA calls for the commitment of all the girls and son of Haiti for a vigorous movement of pacific resistance to this wave of violence which puts in danger the very existence of our State-Nation "We all need to say NO to this descent into hell."
