iciHaiti - COP24 : Eradicating Poverty and Fighting Climate Change

Thursday, on the sidelines of the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26371-haiti-environment-the-minister-of-the-environment-in-poland-for-cop24.html that takes place in Katowice, Poland, Joseph Jouthe the Minister of the Environment, attended a meeting of international experts on the environment, carried out by the Fund of United Nations Food (FAO) on the eradication of poverty and the fight against climate change. Minister Jouthe's intervention has explored some forms of interventions that could maximize synergies between climate actions and food security.
Jouthe pleaded, among other things, for the development of national policies on land use planning, restoration of degraded ecosystems, fair international trade. He also advocated awareness campaigns for the population to adopt consumption habits that consume less energy.
