iciHaiti - Social : 775 community restaurants in operation by the end of the year
Monday at a press conference, Charles Ernest Chatelier, the Director General of the Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), intervened around programs to help citizens of popular neighborhoods and various social assistance projects for the benefit of the most vulnerable, especially during the Christmas and New Year period.
"In an emergency situation, the FAES intervenes to provide assistance to the population from social programs to enable the State to intervene through the programs 'ti manman cheri' and 'Bourad solidarite' stating in particular that the community restaurants had been relocated and that 54 restaurants are already operational and another 40 should be supplied shortly in order to support the most vulnerable segments of the population."
For his part Emmanuel Verret, Director of Economic Activities at FAES explained "FAES is not insensitive to the needs of the population living in difficult situations. That's why 775 community restaurants need to be operational by the end of this year."
