iciHaiti - Justice : 59 complaints filled against police offciers

Friday at a press conference the Divisional Commissioner Jean-Claude Benjamin, head of the communication of the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (DGPNH) revealed that for the month of October passed, 59 complaints had been filled against police officers for assault, violence, assault and battery, breach of trust and debts. In addition, 616 investigations, 188 convocations, 134 hearings and 30 confrontations were conducted.
Jean-Claude Benjamin said that the PNH had also adopted three isolation measures and lifted another four. Lastly, provisional measures were taken against two police officers in connection with the investigation into the incident of October 9 at the Palace of Justice between police officers and lawyers.
