iciHaiti - Social : Exhibition «Dictatorship and resistances»

As part of the project "Access to Justice and Fight against Impunity in Haiti", led by Lawyers Without Borders Canada, the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL), supported by Global Affairs Canada, will present from November 6 to December 21, 2018 the exhibition "Dictatorship and Resistance".

This exhibition traces the history of the Duvalier father and son regime (1957-1986), the crimes and human rights violations perpetrated during these decades, all too often ignored by Haitian youth and which still have repercussions today in Haiti.

The fight against impunity and historical revisionism is a fundamental issue in the advancement of responsible and respectful human rights governance and in the creation of a real transitional justice process in Haiti.

The exhibition, which will be presented in the FOKAL atrium (143 Christophe Avenue, Port-au-Prince), will be accompanied by related activities : the "32 years after" theater show, hosted by Pinas Alcéra, as well as discussions with activists and specialists of the period in different places of the capital.
