Helen Meagher La Lime, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Mission for the Support of Justice in Haiti (Minujusth), said at a press conference, "As you know, the United Nations Security Council has given a mandate of two years to the United Nations Mission for the Support of Justice in Haiti. This means that we are facing a transition to a United Nations presence without peacekeeping after October 2019".
La Lime said that this transition includes 11 objectives and 46 very specific indicators that was set up in coordination with the Haitian authorities and the 19 UN agencies that will continue to support the country after the departure of the Minujusth.
