Members of the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFRONT) seized 2.3 tons (5,082 pounds) of contraband garlic from Haiti in the municipality of Pepillo Salcedo, Montecristi Province (North West of DR).

The cargo, contraband garlic from Haiti, was seized in a house under construction near the Massacre River, in 233 bags of 22 pounds. The garlic was transferred to the Cesfront inter-agency base in Dajabón for the corresponding purposes.

Recall that this is the second major seizure after the one of 1.6 tons at the beginning of September on the beach of Cambiaso (West of the Province of Puerto-Plata
