The European Union and its Member States welcome the ratification of Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant's policy statement by the Haitian Parliament https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25543-haiti-flash-vote-of-confidence-at-the-chamber-of-deputies-for-jean-henry-ceant.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25536-haiti-flash-vote-of-confidence-in-the-senate-for-jean-henry-ceant.html ; it is a necessary step towards solving the important political, economic, social and financial challenges facing the country.

The urgency of reviving economic growth and investment, creating jobs and repairing the social fabric, as well as completing institutional and structural reforms, are important issues that await the new government team and which will have to be overcome in consultation and with the contribution of all the forces of the country.

The European Union and its Member States are ready to bring their full support to the new Government as well as to all actors in the political, economic and social life of the country in order to contribute to strengthening the political and institutional stability of the country, a condition essential to its development.
