iciHaiti - SIMEX 2018 : Hurricane Simulation in 3 departments

Thursday started the National Simulation Exercise : SIMEX 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25126-haiti-news-zapping.html . Approximately 400 people will participate for 48 hours in this exercise simultaneously in the Nippes, South and West. SIMEX 2018 aims to evaluate the preparedness actions of civil protection structures, as well as their emergency response and response capabilities in disaster situations.
As part of this exercise, the actors will simulate the passage of a Category 4 hurricane, named for the needs of "Peter" who in the scenario, would affect the great South, about 6 to 12 hours from the launch of the pre-alert. The simulated effects of this threat will make it possible to improve the intervention processes of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and its partners, in order to protect the population.
