"The late Tony Vernio, Pasteur, School Principal, was also a well-known journalist and press correspondent and appreciated in his region and beyond. The departure for the beyond of this sexagenarian, politician and man of commitment, represents a great loss for his commune and country."

In this painful circumstance, the Minister Brunet also deplores the slippages registered at the level of the local population in sign of dissatisfaction, following this sudden disappearance. He also took the opportunity to appeal to calm and serenity to the inhabitants of the commune of Port-de-Paix.

"Minister Brunet expresses his deepest sympathies to the Port-de-Paisiens in general, to the two remaining members of the Cartel of the City of Port-de-Paix, to the Regional Journalistic Corporation, in particular to the personnel of the radio Perfection, where he regularly presented a program while honoring his responsibilities as deputy mayor; and extends his sincere condolences to the North West Protestant community, his school associates, admirers, loved ones and his grieving families."
