iciHaiti - Archaie : President Moïse on tour of sites
On Sunday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Engineer Fritz Cayot, the Minister of Public Works, toured the work in progress in the city of Archaie. He took advantage of this to hand over to the public works managers of the commune, new heavy equipment, including several excavators, trucks and loaders to support the cleaning of rivers and the construction of road infrastructure.

Archaie is a city with great potential in agriculture according to the inhabitants of the region stressed Moïse, he also asked the Minister Cayot to take all the measures he deems necessary to help have better surface water management in the region, so that farmers can have water available to water their fields and also avoid floods and landslides that cause significant stress in the Archaie population.

That same Sunday, Moïse began the work of cleaning and strengthening the banks on the Koujòl River, which has never ceased to bring desolation to Archaie as soon as it rains. Remember that the bridge on the Koujòl River was built in 1928, the last time a cleaning work was done in 1978. Recalling that there is a lot of work to do at the bottom of bridges in the region and also to repair irrigation canals, to allow water to circulate throughout the valley to facilitate watering activities.
