After having announced their intention to interpellates the Prime Minister https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24205-haiti-news-zapping.html 16 deputies, in the framework of the parliamentary procedures sent a letter to the President of the Lower House, the Deputy Gary Bodeau, to formally request the interpellation of the Prime Minister Lafontant.

Text of the letter :

"Port-au-Prince, 27-04-2018

Mr. President,

With reference to the provisions of Articles 129-2, 129-3. 1294 and 129-5 of the Constitution of 29 March 1987 amended and those of Articles 222, 223. 224, 225 and 226 of the Rules of Procedure of the Chamber of Deputies, the deputies who have signed this letter, have the honor to bring to your knowledge that they intend to interpellates and, as in fact they interpellate the Prime Minister, Mr. Jack Guy Lafontant for the following reasons :

1 - Serious violations of the Constitution of 29 March 1987 amended;
2 - Serious violations of the 2017-2018 budget law;
3 - flagrant cases of alleged corruption in Government;
4 - Non-compliance with his statement of general policy;
5 - Generalized bad governance.

Hoping that you will comply with the above-mentioned provisions as soon as possible by the signatory Deputies, please accept, Mr President, their best regards.
