iciHaiti - DR : More than 200 Haitians deported from the Provinces of San Cristóbal and Peravia
Following intelligence work in communities in the south-west of the Dominican Republic, who had denounced the presence of Haitians, teams of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) composed of inspectors and agents of the DGM with the support of the Dominican army, in coordination with the Public Ministry, carried out a migratory control of 284 Haitians in different localities of the Province of San Cristóbal (Los Molina, Madre Vieja Sur, Green zone, Pies Lava, Canastica, El Cerro, Najayo, Km 5 ½ and various sectors of the municipality of the Southern Province). Following these checks, 90 Haitian nationals, including 81 men and 9 women in an irregular situation, were deported to Haiti by the Elías Piña border post, while 2 others were sent to the DGM's Investigations Department.

Moreover 273 other Haitians were controlled in different localities of the Peravia Province (communities of Matanza and Villa Sombrero, as well as Barrio Bogaert and different sectors of the municipality). Following these migration controls, 130 compatriots were transferred to the Elías Piña border post to be registered by the migration services and deported to Haiti.
