Friday in Mexico City, as part of the week of the Francophonie at Grenn Hills College, the Ambassador of Haiti to Mexico Guy G. Lamothe, in front of more than 1,000 Mexican students of the College, spoke on the values and the contribution of the Francophonie in the world as well as the challenges of the French-speaking world in the face of the excesses of globalization. He spoke at length about Haiti's contribution to the Francophonie and particularly the French-speaking world of the Americas.

Afterwards, Ambassador Lamothe awarded the school's awards to students for their progress in French. Subsequently, accompanied by Director of College Grenn Hills, a Cameroonian prince and the Director of the institute of French teaching of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he proceeded to the official inauguration of the fair of the Francophonie organized by the students of the College.

Tuesday, March 20, Ambassador Lamothe and the Québec delegate in Mexico City will host a conference at the UNAM on the theme "The French of the Americas".
