iciHaiti - Justice : An unworthy and cruel mother !
Let's recall that last February 7, 2018, the South East Departmental Director (DDSE) of the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) was informed of the case of a 9-year-old child in the custody of his father-in-law and his biological mother, in a commune of the South East, who was burned severely and cruelly in the palm of his hand by its mother, to punish it for having touched the food reserved for his father-in-law...

In order to protect the rights of the child and after obtaining additional information from the informant, the DDSE contacted the Coordinator of the Institute for Social Welfare and Research (IBESR) of the department as well as the Head of the Department as welle as the Protection of Minors Brigade (BPM).

Friday 16 February, following up on the file, of the BPM, the biological mother was led to the police station of Jacmel where she was heard in the presence of the Departmental Director of the OPC, of Coordinator of the IBESR and the Head of the BPM.

Following this interrogation, it was considered necessary, according to the respondent's answers, currently breastfeeding an 18-month-old female child, to provisionally place the 9-year-old child burned in a reception house in the department, as well as the 18-month-old girl and put in custody the guilty mother for the legal consequences.
