iciHaiti - Social : Children with disabilities at the Carnival of Croix-des-Bouquets
Carnival has always been an area of entertainment and artistic and cultural discovery open to all, however, in recent times, the spread and multiplication of dirty talk, unhealthy and indecent images in the carnival have caused children to flee these festivities.

Also, Croix-des-Bouquets has decided to return to the healthy traditions of Carnival by allowing children to enjoy it fully, without fear of being victims of indecency of violence and discrimination. It is in this sense the children of the Commune and young people living with a disability participated in the 2nd edition of the Carnival of Croix-des-Bouquets, February 3 and 4, 2018, around the theme "Kwadèboukè Reveye".

The Mayor of the Croix-des-Bouquets Rony Colin, very sensitive to the image projected by the Carnival of the Commune, had given formal instructions to the Organizing Committee so that no unhealthy, irreverent or dirty remarks would be broadcast in this popular feast, while emphasizing the participation of children in Carnival.

This is how the Carnival of Croix-des-Bouquets took place in a healthy spirit, appeasement, conviviality and without violence. No loss in human life has been recorded.

Un grand Bravo à la municipalité !
