iciHaiti - Politic : Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
Monday, in the presence of Jeanne L. Clark, Representative of the American Embassy in Haiti, Pastor Sylvain Exantus, Representative of the Protestant Federation in Haiti, Professor Ely Thelot and some Civil Society Organizations including the Ecumenical Center of Human Rights, Citizen Protector Renan Hedouville paid a heartfelt tribute to the memory of the African-American Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Junior (1929-1968), a great advocate for peace and civil rights, who advanced the cause of human rights in the United States and around the world, loosely murdered on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.

This activity, which commemorates the 89th birthday of Pastor King, testifies according to Hedouville of the will of the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC) to trace the profile as well as the works of national or international personalities living or deceased who contributed to establish a culture of promotion and protection of human rights around the world.
