iciHaiti - Politic : Inauguration of the Nippes Office and launch of the CIP
At the beginning of the week, the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the presence of the Mayor of Miragôane, Métellus Yves, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nippes, Marie Carme Sinéus Dumelfort, the representative of the departmental delegate of Nippes, representatives of the National Police, local dignitaries and merchants of the department, proceeded to the Administrative Complex of Nippes at the inauguration of the Departmental Office of the MCI which will make available to entrepreneurs and traders in the region all tools necessary to formalize themselves in commerce and industry.

In addition, the Ministry took the opportunity to launch the digitalized Professional Identity Card (CIP) in this department. Daniel Denis, the Director General of the Ministry, presented the importance and the advantages that this card gives to any entrepreneur who holds it "This card makes it possible to respond to tendering, identifying oneself as a trader, clearing goods with greater ease, being considered by the courts as a trader and finding advantages in the international market."

Dieuseul Lefèvre, the Director of Internal Trade, explained the steps to obtain a CIP recalling that "[...] the trader or the entrepreneur must first register their business to the Ministry of Trade and Industry and withdraw the license at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI)."
