iciHaiti - Social : $3M for the project «Ranfòsman Premye Sekou an Ayiti»
This Thursday will be held at the Montana Hotel, the launching ceremony of the "Ranfòsman Premye Sekou an Ayiti" project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Through the Catholic Relief Services, USAID's 2-year, $ 3-million project will strengthen the capacity of 400 community-based and faith-based organizations and 480 Haitian government officials (eg Civil Protection (DPC) and local municipalities) to provide emergency services in case of major natural hazards.

The project will focus on strengthening the technical capacity of community and faith-based organizations to respond to emergencies through training, mentoring and coaching before, during and between emergency interventions. It will also facilitate the working relationship between DPC, government officials and community and faith-based organizations to better coordinate and cooperate to improve emergency response and provide training to increase public servants' knowledge of their roles and responsibilities according to the National Risk Management System as well as the role, structures and processes of the DPC.
