Friday at the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) the migration issue was the focus of discussions during a training session organized by officials of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ms. Shauna Martin and her colleague Mariana Rendon for the benefit of the Ministry's officials.

Through this training, the MHAVE authorities intend to train staff on the various aspects of the migratory phenomenon as well as its consequences in the world. This seminar allowed employees to better understand the new concepts of migration.

At the closing of the seminar, Stéphanie Auguste the Minister of MHAVE emphasized the importance of this training for civil servants "[...] being a Ministry that deals with the diaspora, the migratory component is one of its priorities."

At the end of this training, the participants, after carrying out practical work, each received a certificate of participation from Yolette Menguale, the Director General of MHAVE, and Shauna Martin, the Chief of Mission of IOM.
