iciHaiti - Literature : The Minister Cadet, laureate of the Joseph D. Charles literary prize 2017
On Wednesday at the local library of Georges Cassera Limbe in the presence of several notables of the city, university officials, teachers and students, the Jury awarded the Joseph D. Charles 2017 Literary Prize to Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education for his book « Dans l'enfer du paradis » (In the Hell of Paradise). A literary work that traces the Haitian reality of this wonderful country, Haiti, become a hell by the behavior of its inhabitants.

Clément Benoît II, Head of the Library, praised the jury's choice to reward the work of the author who is currently working on his 25th book on several literary genres.

Minister Cadet was delighted with this honor and invited young people to take inspiration from this kind of initiative and to invest in reading and good educational choices to prepare their future.

Remember that this is the 16th Edition of the Joseph D. Charles Literary Prize since its establishment in 2002. Among the ex-recipients, we can cite, among others, Yanick Lahens (2015), Lionel Trouillot (2008), Claude C. Pierre ( 2012), Jean Claude Fignolé (2009) and Frankétienne (2004).
