iciHaiti - Chile : Launch of a Training Program for Early Childhood Educators

In order to strengthen pedagogical skills among Haitian educators, the Chilean Ministry of Education, the Chilean Agency for International Cooperation and Development, and the Chile Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Haiti, officially launched the "Trainers for Early Childhood Educators in Haiti" program.
According to Desirée López, Executive Vice-President of the National Committee of Kindergartens of Chile (Junji), this bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the education sector is not new, recalling the opening between 2006 and 2010 of two kindergartens in Haiti to Aquin and Vieux Bourg d'Aquin which welcome more than 100 children.
Garly Theodore Joseph, the Representative of the Embassy of Haiti in Chile, welcomed the launch of this Program believing that with the education of children one can expect a better country in the future.
