Due to the precarious nature of the operation in certain regional offices of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) and in order to resolve the difficulties, its departmental offices in the North, Center, South East, Artibonite, Grande Anse, and Northeast are closed for restructuring.

The Directorate of the EHL aims to optimize the regularization of gambling throughout the national territory and to harmonize the institution within the framework of the new fiscal year 2017-2018 in order to guarantee its profitability and credibility for the good of the Haitian State and the population.

To this end, a special restructuring commission will be set up, whose mandate is summarized as follows :

- To assess the handicaps impeding the proper functioning of the various regional offices;
- Reassess the human resources of the offices concerned;
- Develop or update administrative and financial procedures;
- Operationalize dysfunctional services;

This restructuring commission will have until October 31, 2017, to present its report and propose measures of solutions.
