Haiti - Social : Drinking water arrives in Perodin and Casenave 19/09/2017 10:17:30
Friday, the National Directorate for Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) inaugurated a drinking water supply system in Perodin and Casenave (commune of Petite rivière de l'Artibonite North) with a capacity of 8,500 gallons/hour according to information from Guito Edouard, the Director General of DINEPA, who said that the construction of water supply kiosks and sanitary blocks were also carried out. The work, which lasted 18 months, was carried out by Plan Consult and financed to the tune of 50 million Gourdes by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID), and the public treasury.
A second phase of the project will be launched by next week in Anse-Rouge (Artibonite) and will cost nearly US$2 million and will be financed by the IDB.
