iciHaiti - Technology : 2nd Edition of Haiti Tech Award 2017
The Haitian Caribbean Information Technology Association (HACARABTECH) will organize the 2nd edition of the Haiti Tech Award on Thursday, July 27th at the Marriott Hotel, in the presence of hundreds of players (personalities and institutions) from the New Information and Communication Technology (NICT) sector.

At the dawn of the digitization era, Haiti can not afford to miss this umpteenth revolution, therefore both individual and collective efforts must be rewarded. This Award was established to honor the contribution of certain personalities in the digital sector.

Launched in 2016, "Haiti Tech Award" promotes competencies in NICTs, rewards the commitment of professionals in the sector and raises awareness among the population and the State about the need to invest in digital.

On Thursday, it is during a major ceremony that several awards will be presented to professionals for their proven leadership in the following categories : Technological Leadership, leadership in technology education, digital media leadership, leadership telecommunications, technological leadership in the election campaign, leadership in technological legislation and technological blogger. Other distinctions will be attributed to certain institutions and personalities.

In addition, hundreds of Haitian digital actors will be able to appreciate the advances made in this emerging field in the country and discuss the best strategies to achieve the expected results.

Note that Senator Daphne Campbell (Democrat, District 38) who represents the Little Haiti community in Miami, Florida, will participate as a Special Guest at this ceremony and will receive awards for her leadership and commitment to the international community.
