Saturday, as part of the launch of the "Day of Europe", Ambassador Vincent Degert had a fruitful working lunch with Mayor Jean Gabriel Fortuné and his deputies during which he announced the forthcoming realization of a set of projects in the South Department, to be financed by the European Investment Bank.

These projects include : urban development, rehabilitation of the Les Cayes coastal road up to Grand'Anse via Tiburon, supervision of fishing professionals, the reconstruction of schools severely affected by Hurricane Matthew and the strengthening of health infrastructure in the Southern region of Haiti.

Ambassador Degert also evoked the Public Finance and Administration Reform Program at the national level.
