iciHaiti - Education : Launch of new radio drama

This Friday, April 28, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, Minister of National Education, with the Ambassador of France in Haiti, Elisabeth Beton Delegue, will preside over the launching ceremony of a new radio drama "le Trésor des Lamayotes" (The Treasury of Lamayotes).

This radio drama a production of the Ministry is one of the initiatives that will contribute to better learning the French language. Born in partnership between the French Ministry and the French Embassy in Haiti in May 2015, the story tells the adventures of Zak and Nana, two young heroes traveling through Haiti in search of a mysterious treasure.

"This educational program, which combines Creole for the French language learning, aims to introduce to its audience of words, French expressions and proverbs in a fun way. The objective is, among other things, to shake cliches on the French language and to desecrate its teaching by showing that error is allowed and that beyond the rules of grammar, the uncomplexed practice of a language allows its mastery," indicates the Ministry.
