iciHaiti - Montreal : International Diaspora Day (Registration)
The 5th edition of the International Diaspora Day will be commemorated in Montreal on 28 and 29 April 2017 on the theme "A step towards the future". More than 1,000 participants, business representatives with Haiti, government representatives, NGOs-private sectors are expected. More than 25 speakers are on the agenda to discuss among others the themes : Cooperation and solidarity economy; Education and sustainable development; Integration of the diaspora into the host society: A tool for better success; Quebec-Haiti-Canada Business Relations and the integration of Haitians living abroad into Haiti's political and economic scene.

The organizers also plan to award the Haitian Diaspora Award of Excellence to a few personalities at the Québec-Haiti-Canada friendship cocktail.

As an Official Partner, the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal encourages the members of the community to take part in this event, which will be a space for reflection on topics that can contribute to the development and progress of the community.
