Haiti - Culture : Inter-cultural Tale Festival

As part of World Fairy Tale Day, celebrated on March 20, the Monique Calixte Library (BMC) will devote a fortnight to tales.

The activities will begin on Saturday, March 18 with an exhibition of tale books and illustrations on the bridge of the library. In the afternoon of the same day at 2:00 pm a tale animation will be provided by Watsuze Leonard. Tales on CD audio and DVD will also be available for listening during the whole period of the activities.

Friday 24th March: the reading and English clubs propose to organize, starting from 3h00 p.m., a reading room of tales in French, Creole and English.

Saturday, March 25: troubadour Johnny Zéphirin will join the children of the BMC for a workshop of tale-drawing and interpretation.

This series of activities around the tale will end on Saturday, April 1 by a show in collaboration with Foudizè Théâtre as part of the Festival Kont Anba Tonèl.
